Dear Alumni, Brothers and Friends,

It is with the utmost sadness and deepest regrets that I inform you that Carl Milea, Jr., Class of 1972, died on February 22, 2008 at his home in Brooklyn, New York, after losing a long and valiant battle with gastrointestinal cancer.

Carl is survived by his wife, Hope, and their four children, numerous relatives and friends, and his employees at Bruno Truck Sales.

Especially remembered and appreciated by the Alumni Association and the Board of Governors are his tireless contributions to the memory and legacy of our great alma mater, our home away from home, our foundation upon which we built all that we are now in the present and will be in the future.

A wake was held for Carl on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at:
 McManus Funeral Home
4601 Avenue N, Brooklyn, New York,
 from 2:00-5:00 P.M. and 7:00-9:00 P.M.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at:
St. Rose of Lima Church
269 Parkville Avenue, Brooklyn, New York.

Carl, you have shown us the true nature of the La Salle spirit, you will continue to be an inspiration to us even in death and you will be missed. Go now to be with God, dear friend.

St. John Baptiste de La Salle, pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!

Fraternally,
Dustin J. Dente ‘89
President
