MARCH, 2010 Peter is asking for any classmates to contribute memoirs of the La Salle Rifles and the Drum and Bugle Corps. He is also asking for profiles of Bill Dudack, The X, Brother Basilian, Al the Barber; Mrs. Bell (Miss Shibley). write to Dr. Peter Dans
"My current plans are to write a narrative history of La Salle beginning in 1883, but with the focus mainly on LSMA. There will be various threads such as the changes in the school over time as regard to the presence of the brothers, military, students etc. I would like to devote two pages to each class which could constitute an appendix or second half. This would list the graduates and the Senior Poll as well as an essay about what was special about the Class written by a surviving member and possibly a picture or two.. Please let the alums know that I am interested in their help on this and also welcome any suggestions. Thanks again for all your support. Best regards, Peter"
Peter will need help to organize the material (transcripts, yearbooks, ON REVIEW, articles, etc). If you have the time and wish to volunteer to help sift through LSMA papers at Manhattan College in the fall, please call or write to Peter directly. He'll welcome your help!
